This week, Ben & Jerry’s Joy Gang held Spirit week. Monday was school breakfast, Tuesday was Pride day (wear B&J), Wed was vote for the Most Likely To’s & bring in your high school photo and dress like you did in high school, Thursday (today ) was Prom. Friday is Senior skip day. We haven’t quit figured that out. I think there may e a party somewhere for some of the people. Truth be told I’m really not sure, but that wouldn’t surprise me. It’s been fun. I never did Spirit week at school so this was a good chance for me to do it. I went to prom ‘pregnant’.

Steve and Chris sold their house and are in the process of moving. They came over for dinner and showers tonight. They are staying in a modified camper van. It was a nice visit. They brought their dog Grace with them. She is very cute and friendly. Pal didn’t want much to do with her, although Grace tried very hard to get Pal interested in playing.

Laurie, Chas, Mumbo and I had lunch with Claire on Wed. It as fun to see her. She looked great and relaxed. She is heading out for 3 weeks in Germany on this Friday. When we left there restaurant, Ninety-nine in Williston, I ran into Patty Laverty. I think this is only the second time I’ve seen her since I left UVM. She said she is still there and Dick is still working for the State. Stacy moved back home and is living a couple of houses down from them. We are supposed to get together for lunch sometime soon.

Got an email from Denise today. She likes her new job at the State - dept of education. She started on Monday. I was glad to hear from her, because I was starting to worry. She had many good things to say.

Ah yes, and before I forget - Chas has a girlfriend - Rita from VBSR. Apparently this has been going on for a couple of months now. I didn’t even realize until I started to see her hanging out at his desk several times recently. I am happy for him and I hope this works out well. She seems very nice.

Becky is just back at school for the second day after a 5 day suspension for skipping math class. Matthew is in big trouble for writing ‘Bomb 12:15’ on the mirror at school. They had a meeting this morning at the school to see if they would expel him. That would apply at all pubic schools for a year. I couldn’t get a hold of Julie tonight to find out what was decided. She took her Mom home from the hospital today (more bleeding). She is staying at Ruth and Paul’s while they are on their honeymoon and I lost the number.

Dad and Julie had a great time in Cancun. Dad is coming up July 14 to see some friends and attend a golf tournament.

I saw Derik today at work and he took a break to come out to the car to get some stuff I got them for their apartment. I asked him if he needed to check in with his boss (just kidding). He said ‘I am the boss’. That must feel really good to him. I’m very glad that his good work gets recognized there and that he stuck with it long enough to see results. Sometimes it just takes a little while if you can stay with it. Then again you also need to know when to cut bait. He said that he found out he cracked his collar bone before when he went to the ER and they just told him it was bruised. Somehow I just don’t have as much faith in the medical professionals out there. Julie was trying to get the nurse(s) or really even A nurse, to get Rose’s medication right. They didn’t bring it at the right time, including the thyroid medicine which you are supposed to take at the same time every day under the same conditions (I.e. 1 hour before eating). This is strongly stated in all the literature. They brought it after breakfast. DOY . The nurse the other night said she expected she would get it with dinner. DUH DUH DUH. Anyway - this other nurse got annoyed with Julie trying to get the right info and schedule and said that if she knew so much about her medication then maybe she should just be at home (not needing to be at the hospital. Isn’t that AWFUL! I guess Julie got it all straightened out. I just think it’s detestable.

The last couple of days are crappy - m left knee and foot are swollen and my wrists hurt and my arms hurt. I’ve been eating crap food and taking celebrex regularly so who knows what’s triggering this. I wish there were easy ways to find out. There are always all these variables.

Bob, at work, told us about the conference he went to and there were a lot o things about creative thinking. One of them is about sounds that induce creative states. I think you could get tapes for different desired effects. I’d really like to try that. I learned today that he and his wife connected in high school. That’s pretty neat.

It’s 10:50 and I suppose I should go. I’m tired. I would kind of like to keep writing but I think I’m too tired. My days seem so full that I don’t get to get through them enough to get to the creative part. I wonder what the best way would be?

DREAM: TICK It came back to me today that I had a dream where I had a tick stuck in my chest. I was still flat & not filled with blood. We (Rob and I) had to take it out. I don’t recall that it made me sick, but in the shower today I remembered they tested me for Lyme disease and it was negative. Maybe I need to be tested again. Or else it’s another meaning. I haven’t figured it out yet.
